Q: What is Bay Sports Picks?
A: Bay Sports Picks is a sports handicapping and information service. We provide predictions on the outcomes of sporting events to our customers for their personal use. The two handicappers at Bay Sports Picks, Steve and Joe, have been handicapping sporting events for a combined three decades with a long-term record of success.
Q: I saw an advertisement for free picks but I can’t seem to find them. Where can I find your free picks on your site?
A: Some people have emailed us to let us know that they are having difficulties finding the free picks. To alleviate this problem, we have added a new free pick page where we will include any posts that have our daily free picks. This free pick page link can be found on our home page on the left-hand side of the site.
Q: I just bought some picks at your site but I did not receive them automatically. How do I get my picks?
A: We are in the process of automating our delivery of picks when people make purchases. However, at the present time we email the picks to the customer as soon as we see the purchase come through on our end. Typically, delivery of our selections takes one hour or less. During peak times within one hour of the start of a game, these wait times are usually 10 minutes or less. You can also get the picks faster by doing one of three things. First, you can call the customer service number on your purchase receipt. You may also jump on the live chat feature on our home page. Finally, you may contact us on Yahoo! Messenger; our ID on Yahoo! Messenger is baysportspicks.
Q: How can I verify your record? Also, do you offer any guarantees on your picks?
A: We update our record about once per month on our past performance page. We also make every pick available to all visitors between 1 and 15 minutes after the games start on our monitor us yourself page. You can then log our picks and monitor our progress on your own if you’d like. (Note that there are extenuating circumstances that may cause the posting of our picks to be late, although these circumstances are VERY rare.) As for guarantees, we don’t have a standing offer of one; however, we often do guarantee an individual pick or package. For example, we recently guaranteed that a Monday Night Football selection would cover the spread or we would give all customers who purchased the pick a weekend of NFL service on the house. We did not have to honor that guarantee, as our +7 underdog not only covered, but also won the game outright!
Q: Is it legal to bet on sports?
A: It depends on where you are located and how you seek to wager. If you are in a licensed sports book in Las Vegas, it definitely is legal. It is also legal in many countries around the world via phone, internet, and brick and mortar establishments, although it is either illegal or in a “gray area” in many others. It is the responsibility of our visitors to consult their local laws to determine the legality of wagering in their local jurisdiction.
